R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Rehm Nathanael Maham of Boy Scouts of America Troop |
|
No. 271 in Cedar Park has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and this |
|
accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and |
|
WHEREAS, The Eagle Scout badge is a significant honor |
|
bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the scouting |
|
movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding criteria, |
|
Mr. Maham earned the requisite 21 merit badges, including those |
|
requiring expertise in such diverse areas as archery, leatherwork, |
|
and public speaking; he also successfully completed an Eagle Scout |
|
project that involved refurbishing benches for Covenant |
|
Presbyterian Church in Austin; and |
|
WHEREAS, The son of Jennifer and Michael Maham, this fine |
|
young Texan has demonstrated outstanding leadership ability |
|
throughout his scouting career, winning the respect and admiration |
|
of his fellow troop members while serving as an assistant senior |
|
patrol leader; and |
|
WHEREAS, A senior at Cedar Park High School, Mr. Maham has |
|
further distinguished himself through his roles as student body |
|
vice president, band president, and debate captain; and |
|
WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Maham's dedication to excellence and his |
|
perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy to |
|
stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with pride |
|
on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Rehm Nathanael Maham on achieving |
|
the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Eagle Scout Maham as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
