R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, The Texas Angora Goat Raisers Association is hosting
  its 100th annual show and sale in Kerrville from June 27 to 29,
  2019; and
         WHEREAS, Established in 1920, TAGRA was founded to serve as
  the official voice of Angora goat raisers in the Lone Star State and
  to organize a yearly statewide show and sale for the goat ranching
  community; the first event was held in Rio Frio under the leadership
  of Bob Davis, the organization's first president; and
         WHEREAS, This year, the centennial is taking place at the
  Kerr County Hill Country Youth Event Center and features registered
  white and colored Angora goats for show and sale, as well as vendors
  selling a wide variety of natural fibers; in addition, the occasion
  is serving as the national show for the Colored Angora Goat Breeders
  Association; and
         WHEREAS, Over the course of a century, this signature
  showcase has provided goat-raising professionals with an
  opportunity to celebrate their trade, and this special anniversary
  gathering is indeed worthy of recognition; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
  Legislature hereby commemorate the 100th annual show and sale
  sponsored by the Texas Angora Goat Raisers Association and extend
  to the organizers and attendees sincere best wishes for a rewarding
  visit to Kerrville; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for TAGRA as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
