R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Charles
  Driver Clark of Menard, who passed away on April 27, 2019, at the
  age of 76; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Charles Driver Clark Sr. and Mary Laverne
  Lee Clark, "Buddy" Clark was born in San Angelo on January 22, 1943,
  and he grew up with a sister, Jo Ann; he graduated from Menard High
  School and went on to attend Texas A&M University and Sul Ross State
  University; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Clark married the former Jo Williamson on July
  31, 1965, and they became the parents of two children, Lee and
  Dandy; in later years, he took great pride in his three
  grandchildren, Candice, Madelon, and Wesley; and
         WHEREAS, At the age of 20, Mr. Clark embarked on a career in
  ranching; he devoted himself thereafter to the stewardship and
  management of rangelands, especially the Forked Lightning Ranch in
  Menard County; for almost two decades, he served on the board of the
  Menard County Soil and Water Conservation District, and in 1985, he
  was elected to the board of the Texas Section Society for Range
  Management; he further served on the board of the Association of
  Texas Soil and Water Conservation Districts for eight years before
  going on to win election to the Texas State Soil and Water
  Conservation Board in 1992; and
         WHEREAS, Buddy Clark gave freely of his time and expertise to
  advance conservation across the Lone Star State, and although he
  will be deeply missed by those he left behind, his contributions
  will continue to resonate in the years to come; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Charles Driver
  "Buddy" Clark and extend sincere condolences to his loved ones;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Buddy
  Clark.
