R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The service of an admired Medina County elected |
|
|
official drew to a close when Vivian Torres retired as the county |
|
|
court at law judge on December 31, 2018; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Torres served her fellow citizens with |
|
|
distinction in the course of a notable tenure that spanned 16 years; |
|
|
a graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she has |
|
|
practiced law for 35 years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Ms. Torres has enjoyed the |
|
|
love and support of her husband of 25 years, the Honorable Chris |
|
|
Schuchart, who currently serves as Medina County judge; she takes |
|
|
great pride in her four children and five grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through her dedicated leadership and commitment to |
|
|
good governance, Vivian Torres has helped make Medina County an |
|
|
even better place in which to live and work, and she has set a |
|
|
standard of excellence to which others may aspire; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Vivian Torres on her retirement as |
|
|
the county court at law judge for Medina County and extend to her |
|
|
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Torres as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
