R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The service of an admired Medina County elected
  official drew to a close when Vivian Torres retired as the county
  court at law judge on December 31, 2018; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Torres served her fellow citizens with
  distinction in the course of a notable tenure that spanned 16 years;
  a graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she has
  practiced law for 35 years; and
         WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Ms. Torres has enjoyed the
  love and support of her husband of 25 years, the Honorable Chris
  Schuchart, who currently serves as Medina County judge; she takes
  great pride in her four children and five grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Through her dedicated leadership and commitment to
  good governance, Vivian Torres has helped make Medina County an
  even better place in which to live and work, and she has set a
  standard of excellence to which others may aspire; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Vivian Torres on her retirement as
  the county court at law judge for Medina County and extend to her
  sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Torres as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
