R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Britnee Chuor of Houston has ably served her fellow |
|
Texans as a policy analyst in the office of State Representative |
|
Gene Wu during the 86th Legislative Session; and |
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Chuor has provided |
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |
|
such as helping with education and criminal justice bills, |
|
reporting on committee activity, and addressing stakeholder |
|
concerns about proposed legislation; over the course of the 86th |
|
Legislative Session and during her internship in Representative |
|
Wu's district office in 2018, she has gained valuable experience in |
|
the field of public service while learning more about the |
|
legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star |
|
State; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Chuor is a certified nonprofit professional who |
|
holds a bachelor's degree in political science and liberal studies |
|
from the University of Houston; the recipient of numerous honors |
|
and scholarships, she was accepted into the Fulbright English |
|
Teaching Assistant Program in 2019; in addition, she has interned |
|
with BakerRipley and the City of Houston Mayor's Office of Trade and |
|
International Affairs; and |
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |
|
duties as a policy analyst with skill and dedication, and she is |
|
indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Britnee Chuor for her service as a |
|
policy analyst in the office of State Representative Gene Wu and |
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her |
|
endeavors; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Chuor as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
