R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Kelsey Lammons has ably served her fellow Texans as |
|
a policy analyst in the office of State Representative Gene Wu |
|
during the 86th Legislative Session; and |
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Lammons has provided |
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |
|
such as researching, responding to constituents, and attending |
|
hearings and briefings; in addition to gaining valuable experience |
|
in the field of public service, she has learned more about the |
|
legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star |
|
State; and |
|
WHEREAS, A student at The University of Texas at Austin, |
|
Ms. Lammons is graduating in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in |
|
social work as well as a certificate in public policy; she has |
|
served as a research assistant at University College Dublin and as a |
|
student fellow and peer mentor through the Austin City Hall Fellows |
|
Program, and she is currently a BSW intern for the Texas Center for |
|
Disability Studies; and |
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |
|
duties as a policy analyst with skill and dedication, and she is |
|
indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Kelsey Lammons for her service as a |
|
policy analyst in the office of State Representative Gene Wu and |
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her |
|
endeavors; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Lammons as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
