R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Rachel Crismore of Brackettville was presented with |
|
a Good Citizen Award from the Uvalde de las Encinas Chapter of the |
|
Daughters of the American Revolution, and this achievement is |
|
indeed worthy of recognition; and |
|
WHEREAS, The Good Citizen Award honors area students who have |
|
demonstrated exceptional leadership, service, dependability, and |
|
patriotism in their homes, schools, and communities; and |
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Brian and Kristen Crismore, Rachel |
|
Crismore is a senior at Brackett High School; she has distinguished |
|
herself as an honor roll student, and her numerous accomplishments |
|
also include being named to the Dean's List and President's List at |
|
Southwest Texas Junior College, receiving Academic All-District |
|
honors in volleyball, and qualifying for the regional UIL meet in |
|
spelling; in addition to her responsibilities as a student, she |
|
volunteers at a physical therapy clinic in Uvalde and at Community |
|
Bible Church in San Antonio; following graduation, she plans to |
|
study physical therapy at Abilene Christian University, where she |
|
has also been recruited to play volleyball; and |
|
WHEREAS, With her receipt of a Good Citizen Award, Rachel |
|
Crismore joins an elite group of young Texans who have been honored |
|
by the Uvalde de las Encinas Chapter of the Daughters of the |
|
American Revolution, and she may indeed look forward to a future |
|
bright with promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Rachel Crismore on her receipt of a |
|
Good Citizen Award from the Uvalde de las Encinas Chapter of the |
|
Daughters of the American Revolution and extend to her sincere best |
|
wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Crismore as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
