R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Robert Grant Harmon of Montgomery County has
  distinguished himself through his exemplary service to our nation's
  armed forces and to his local community; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Harmon served his country in the U.S. Army for
  28 years before retiring as a lieutenant colonel, and he further
  benefited his fellow citizens as a member of the Texas State Guard;
  and
 
         WHEREAS, Over the years, Mr. Harmon has also devoted his time
  to supporting veterans in need through his work as a behavioral
  health care mentor with the Montgomery County Veterans Court and as
  a member and recruiter with the Mighty Oaks Foundation for veterans
  suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder; moreover, he leads
  the Band of Brothers men's ministry; and
         WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan holds a master's degree in
  nursing anesthesia from The University of Texas Health Science
  Center at San Antonio, and he currently works as a clinical
  professor at the Sam Houston State University School of Nursing; in
  all his endeavors, he has enjoyed the love and support of his wife
  of 21 years and their four children; and
         WHEREAS, Robert Harmon has earned the respect and admiration
  of all who know him for his generosity, patriotism, and commitment
  to duty, and he may indeed reflect with pride on his contributions
  to the defense of this nation and to his fellow service members;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
  Legislature hereby honor retired U.S. Army Lt. Colonel Robert Grant
  Harmon for his outstanding record of service and extend to him
  sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Harmon as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
