R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Maryellen Rayner celebrated a significant milestone |
|
|
in her life on May 11, 2019, when she graduated from the Gaylord |
|
|
College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of |
|
|
Oklahoma; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Rayner has demonstrated impressive dedication |
|
|
to her studies while working toward her bachelor's degree in |
|
|
advertising with a minor in psychology; her academic achievements |
|
|
have earned her membership in the Phi Sigma Pi National Honor |
|
|
Fraternity, which she has served as scholarship chair; in addition, |
|
|
she is a proud member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Among the many other activities she has undertaken |
|
|
as a student, Ms. Rayner has served as vice chair of a concert |
|
|
series, as account manager and director of the Lindsey + Asp |
|
|
student-run advertising agency, and as an event planner and |
|
|
promoter for the Campus Corner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this |
|
|
outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join in recognizing |
|
|
her as she embarks on a future bright with promise; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Maryellen Rayner on her graduation |
|
|
from the University of Oklahoma and extend to her sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Rayner as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
