R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Cynthia Ayala of Ridgetop Elementary School has been |
|
|
named the 2019 Area 2 Elementary Teacher of the Year in the Austin |
|
|
Independent School District; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to |
|
|
become successful and productive adults, and those men and women |
|
|
who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference |
|
|
in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In her role as bilingual special education case |
|
|
manager at Ridgetop Elementary, Ms. Ayala has worked tirelessly to |
|
|
help her students build confidence by encouraging them to do their |
|
|
best and to feel secure enough to take risks in the classroom; |
|
|
currently in her 19th year of teaching, she has also contributed |
|
|
significantly to the Ridgetop campus by leading numerous |
|
|
initiatives outside the classroom, including facilitating the |
|
|
school's attainment of wildlife habitat certification from the |
|
|
National Wildlife Federation; prior to joining Ridgetop, she served |
|
|
as a bilingual teacher; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Cynthia Ayala exemplifies the passion, |
|
|
determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our |
|
|
best teachers, and she has set a standard of excellence to which all |
|
|
in her profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Cynthia Ayala on her selection as |
|
|
the 2019 Area 2 Elementary Teacher of the Year in the Austin |
|
|
Independent School District and extend to her sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued success with her important work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Ayala as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
