R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Adriana Carolina Badena has been named salutatorian of the Class of 2019 at Sharpstown International School in Houston, and she indeed merits special recognition for receiving this significant honor; and

WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the highest academic standards; Ms. Badena has demonstrated a thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her attainment of this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement of a notable high school career; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Badena plans to continue her education at Amherst College and major in biology with a minor in psychology; and

WHEREAS, During her years at Sharpstown International School, Adriana Carolina Badena has earned the respect and admiration of both her teachers and classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability and commitment to excellence have opened the way to a bright and promising future for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Adriana Carolina Badena for earning the title of salutatorian of the Class of 2019 at Sharpstown International School and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Badena as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
