R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Lesli Pérez has been named valedictorian of the |
|
Class of 2019 at Valley Christian High School in Brownsville, and |
|
she indeed merits special recognition for receiving this |
|
significant honor; and |
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only |
|
intellect and aptitude but also four years of dedication to the |
|
highest academic standards; in securing her place as the |
|
top-ranking student in her class, Ms. Pérez demonstrated a thorough |
|
understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her attainment of |
|
this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement of a notable |
|
high school career; and |
|
WHEREAS, A native of Matamoros, this dedicated young woman |
|
has taken dual credit classes and won an essay-writing competition |
|
sponsored by the Daughters of the American Revolution; she plans to |
|
study chemical engineering at The University of Texas Rio Grande |
|
Valley; and |
|
WHEREAS, During her years at Valley Christian High, Lesli |
|
Pérez has earned the respect and admiration of both her teachers and |
|
classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability and commitment |
|
to excellence have opened the way to a bright and promising future |
|
for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Lesli Pérez on graduating as |
|
valedictorian of the Valley Christian High School Class of 2019 and |
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she |
|
begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Pérez as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
