R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Thaddeus Kirby of Mason High School achieved great |
|
|
distinction by winning a gold medal in the 2A 200-meter dash at the |
|
|
2019 University Interscholastic League Track & Field State Meet; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the other top high school competitors in |
|
|
Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 10 and 11, Mr. Kirby |
|
|
turned in a notable performance, claiming the title with a time of |
|
|
21.83 seconds; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for |
|
|
high school track and field athletes, Thaddeus Kirby has ably |
|
|
represented his school, and he will cherish his memories of this |
|
|
outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Thaddeus Kirby on his championship |
|
|
win in the 2A 200-meter dash at the 2019 UIL Track & Field State Meet |
|
|
and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be |
|
|
it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Kirby as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
