R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Maria Fernanda Orizaga has been named valedictorian |
|
of the Class of 2019 at Jubilee Brownsville, and she indeed merits |
|
special recognition for receiving this significant honor; and |
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only |
|
intellect and aptitude but also four years of dedication to the |
|
highest academic standards; in securing her place as the |
|
top-ranking student in her class, Ms. Orizaga demonstrated a |
|
thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her |
|
attainment of this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement |
|
of a notable high school career; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Orizaga has served as senior class president and |
|
as an officer in the National Honor Society; in addition, she has |
|
benefited her community as a Character Ambassador officer and |
|
member of the board of Keep Brownsville Beautiful; she has also |
|
tutored elementary school students and co-taught classes at |
|
Miriam's Dance Academy; and |
|
WHEREAS, During her years at Jubilee Brownsville, Maria |
|
Orizaga has earned the respect and admiration of both her teachers |
|
and classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability and |
|
commitment to excellence have opened the way to a bright and |
|
promising future for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, |
|
be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Maria Fernanda Orizaga on |
|
graduating as valedictorian of the Jubilee Brownsville Class of |
|
2019 and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as |
|
she begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Orizaga as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
