R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Maria Fernanda Orizaga has been named valedictorian
  of the Class of 2019 at Jubilee Brownsville, and she indeed merits
  special recognition for receiving this significant honor; and
         WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only
  intellect and aptitude but also four years of dedication to the
  highest academic standards; in securing her place as the
  top-ranking student in her class, Ms. Orizaga demonstrated a
  thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her
  attainment of this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement
  of a notable high school career; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Orizaga has served as senior class president and
  as an officer in the National Honor Society; in addition, she has
  benefited her community as a Character Ambassador officer and
  member of the board of Keep Brownsville Beautiful; she has also
  tutored elementary school students and co-taught classes at
  Miriam's Dance Academy; and
         WHEREAS, During her years at Jubilee Brownsville, Maria
  Orizaga has earned the respect and admiration of both her teachers
  and classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability and
  commitment to excellence have opened the way to a bright and
  promising future for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Maria Fernanda Orizaga on
  graduating as valedictorian of the Jubilee Brownsville Class of
  2019 and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as
  she begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Orizaga as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
