R E S O L U T I O N

|
WHEREAS, Nadia Covarrubias is graduating with honors from |
|
|
Lincoln Park High School in Brownsville in 2019, and she indeed |
|
|
merits special recognition for receiving this significant honor; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Graduating with honors requires not only intellect |
|
|
and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the highest |
|
|
academic standards; in securing her place as one of the top-ranking |
|
|
students in her class, Ms. Covarrubias demonstrated a thorough |
|
|
understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her attainment of |
|
|
this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement of a notable |
|
|
high school career; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Magda and Neptali Covarrubias, |
|
|
Ms. Covarrubias has gained the opportunity to address her fellow |
|
|
seniors at commencement and to reflect on their shared history as |
|
|
well as their hopes and ambitions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, During her years at Lincoln Park High School, Nadia |
|
|
Covarrubias has earned the respect and admiration of both her |
|
|
teachers and classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability and |
|
|
commitment to excellence have opened the way to a bright and |
|
|
promising future for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Nadia Covarrubias on graduating |
|
|
with honors as a member of the Lincoln Park High School Class of |
|
|
2019 and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as |
|
|
she begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Covarrubias as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
