R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Georgia Estrada, Potter County constable for |
|
Precinct 2, received well-deserved recognition when she was honored |
|
as Constable of the Year by the National Constables and Marshals |
|
Association at its annual training conference, which took place in |
|
Reno, Nevada, March 25-29, 2019; and |
|
WHEREAS, In her work as a constable, Ms. Estrada has played |
|
an invaluable role in maintaining the justice system of her |
|
community, preserving the peace, and ensuring the safety and |
|
welfare of her fellow Texans; her recent national accolade follows |
|
closely behind her state recognition by the Justices of the Peace |
|
and Constables Association of Texas, which named her its Constable |
|
of the Year in June 2018; and |
|
WHEREAS, Constable Estrada's receipt of these two |
|
prestigious awards is a testament to her exceptional record of |
|
service to the citizens of Potter County, and she may indeed reflect |
|
with pride on the extraordinary level of skill, professionalism, |
|
and dedication that she has demonstrated in the course of her |
|
duties; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Georgia Estrada on her selection as |
|
Constable of the Year by the National Constables and Marshals |
|
Association and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; |
|
and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Estrada as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
