R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, The Democratic Party precinct chairs of House |
|
|
District 102 have served area constituents with distinction; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Precinct chairs are integral to the success of their |
|
|
party's mission to elect public servants who will build a better |
|
|
state and nation for today's citizenry and for generations to come; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Because public policy affects our daily lives, |
|
|
individuals must exercise their right to vote, and precinct chairs |
|
|
play an important role in the election process; their efforts to |
|
|
inspire voters to support their party's candidates are part of a |
|
|
proud and vital political tradition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, It is most appropriate that we take this opportunity |
|
|
to recognize those outstanding Texans who have devoted time and |
|
|
energy toward promoting such goals of the Democratic Party as |
|
|
achieving economic equality, ensuring an affordable college |
|
|
education, and advancing a more just and inclusive society; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend the Democratic Party precinct chairs of |
|
|
House District 102 for their outstanding service and extend to |
|
|
these dedicated community leaders sincere best wishes for the |
|
|
future. |
