R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, LaGwenna Redwine of Wells Elementary School has been |
|
|
honored with a 2019 Elementary Excellence in Teaching Award by the |
|
|
Plano Independent School District; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to |
|
|
become successful and productive adults, and those men and women |
|
|
who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference |
|
|
in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Redwine is a fifth grade physical education |
|
|
teacher at Wells Elementary, where she focuses on introducing |
|
|
children to the benefits of physical fitness while also instilling |
|
|
in them good sportsmanship and other life skills; she enjoys an |
|
|
exceptional rapport with her students, and she has earned the high |
|
|
regard of her colleagues for her strong work ethic, upbeat |
|
|
personality, sense of humor, and ability to motivate others to |
|
|
succeed; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, LaGwenna Redwine exemplifies the passion, |
|
|
determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our |
|
|
best teachers, and she has set a standard of excellence to which all |
|
|
in her profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate LaGwenna Redwine on her receipt of |
|
|
a 2019 Elementary Excellence in Teaching Award from the Plano |
|
|
Independent School District and extend to her sincere best wishes |
|
|
for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Redwine as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
