R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, John Daniel Hagan has ably served his fellow Texans
  as legislative director in the office of State Representative James
  White during the 86th Legislature; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Hagan's resourcefulness and initiative have
  earned the appreciation of his colleagues, and his contributions to
  carrying forth Representative White's legislative agenda have
  helped address issues facing citizens across the Lone Star State;
  and
         WHEREAS, The son of Daniel and Mary Hagan, Mr. Hagan hails
  from El Paso, where he attended Coronado High School and played for
  the school's championship hockey team; he went on to complete
  bachelor's degrees in government and history with Liberal Arts
  Honors from The University of Texas at Austin, where he was a member
  of the Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society; active in his
  community, he gives generously of his time to the Down Syndrome
  Association of Central Texas and the Cathedral School of Saint Mary
  in Austin; he first joined the office of Representative White as a
  legislative aide during the 85th Legislative Session; and
         WHEREAS, This esteemed public employee has performed his
  duties as legislative director with skill and dedication, and he is
  indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend John Daniel Hagan for his service as
  legislative director in the office of State Representative James
  White and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in
  all his endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Hagan as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
