R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Robbie Lugo has been named salutatorian of the Class |
|
|
of 2019 at Mary Carroll High School in Corpus Christi, and he indeed |
|
|
merits special recognition for receiving this significant honor; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; in securing his place as one of the two |
|
|
top ranking students in his class, Mr. Lugo demonstrated a thorough |
|
|
understanding of a wide range of subjects, and his attainment of |
|
|
this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement of a notable |
|
|
high school career; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Otilia and Josue Lugo, Mr. Lugo plans to |
|
|
study political science at Texas Christian University; in addition |
|
|
to the pride inherent in being recognized for his hard work, he has |
|
|
gained the opportunity to address his fellow seniors at |
|
|
commencement and to reflect on their shared history as well as their |
|
|
hopes and ambitions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, During his years at Mary Carroll High School, Robbie |
|
|
Lugo has earned the respect and admiration of both his teachers and |
|
|
classmates, and his exceptional scholastic ability and commitment |
|
|
to excellence have opened the way to a bright and promising future |
|
|
for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Robbie Lugo on graduating as the |
|
|
salutatorian of the Mary Carroll High School Class of 2019 and |
|
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success as he begins |
|
|
the next exciting chapter of his life; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Lugo as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
