R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Gabriel Reta has been named valedictorian of the |
|
Class of 2019 at Mary Carroll High School in Corpus Christi, and he |
|
indeed merits special recognition for receiving this significant |
|
honor; and |
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only |
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
highest academic standards; in securing his place as the top |
|
ranking student in his class, Mr. Reta demonstrated a thorough |
|
understanding of a wide range of subjects, and his attainment of |
|
this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement of a notable |
|
high school career; and |
|
WHEREAS, The son of Daniel and Melba Reta, Mr. Reta plans to |
|
attend The University of Texas at Austin to study supply chain |
|
management; in addition to the pride inherent in being recognized |
|
for his hard work, he has gained the opportunity to address his |
|
fellow seniors at commencement and to reflect on their shared |
|
history as well as their hopes and ambitions; and |
|
WHEREAS, During his years at Mary Carroll High School, |
|
Gabriel Reta has earned the respect and admiration of both his |
|
teachers and classmates, and his exceptional scholastic ability and |
|
commitment to excellence have opened the way to a bright and |
|
promising future for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, |
|
be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Gabriel Reta on graduating as the |
|
valedictorian of the Mary Carroll High School Class of 2019 and |
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success as he begins |
|
the next exciting chapter of his life; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Reta as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
