R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Students from White Deer High School distinguished |
|
|
themselves through their participation in the 2019 University |
|
|
Interscholastic League Track & Field State Meet; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the other top high school competitors in |
|
|
Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 10 and 11, the White |
|
|
Deer High contingent included the relay team of Darrien Gonzales, |
|
|
Hunter Warmiski, Gage Freeman, and Mason Mooney, which placed sixth |
|
|
in both the 1A boys' 4x100-meter relay and the 4x200-meter relay; |
|
|
moreover, two students won individual honors, with Mr. Freeman |
|
|
coming in sixth in the 1A boys' 300-meter hurdles and Sydnee |
|
|
Hendrick earning eighth place in the 1A girls' discus throw; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By earning the right to compete in the state's |
|
|
premier showcase for high school track & field athletes, these |
|
|
determined young Texans have ably represented their school and |
|
|
community, and they may indeed reflect with pride on their notable |
|
|
accomplishments; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the students from White Deer High |
|
|
School who participated in the 2019 UIL Track & Field State Meet and |
|
|
extend to them sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the students as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
