R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Students from Ropes High School distinguished |
|
|
themselves through their participation in the 2019 University |
|
|
Interscholastic League Track & Field State Meet; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the other top high school competitors in |
|
|
Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 10 and 11, the Ropes |
|
|
High contingent included Chloe Trull, who earned fourth place in |
|
|
the 1A girls' 1,600-meter run and fifth in the 3,200-meter race, and |
|
|
Sam Addison, who finished fourth in the boys' 110-meter hurdles and |
|
|
seventh in the 300-meter hurdles; additionally, Jaden Clabaugh, |
|
|
Pake Partington, Evan Flores, and Mr. Addison came in sixth in the |
|
|
boys' 4x400-meter relay; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By earning the right to compete in the state's |
|
|
premier showcase for high school track & field athletes, these |
|
|
determined young Texans have ably represented their school and |
|
|
community, and they may indeed reflect with pride on their notable |
|
|
accomplishments; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the students from Ropes High School |
|
|
who participated in the 2019 UIL Track & Field State Meet and extend |
|
|
to them sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the students as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
