R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Davis Smith of Sudan High School distinguished |
|
|
himself through his participation in the 2019 University |
|
|
Interscholastic League Congress State Meet, held in Austin January |
|
|
7 through 9; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Competing against some of the brightest students in |
|
|
the Lone Star State, Mr. Smith turned in an exceptional performance |
|
|
and placed fourth overall in the 2A contest; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By earning the right to compete in one of the state's |
|
|
premier high school academic competitions, this accomplished young |
|
|
Texan has ably represented his school and community, and the |
|
|
dedication he has demonstrated is sure to serve him well in the |
|
|
years ahead; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Davis Smith for his participation in the |
|
|
2019 UIL Congress State Meet and extend to him sincere best wishes |
|
|
for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Smith as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
