R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Jason Ernest Roselius of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, |
|
passed away on January 4, 2018, at the age of 48, leaving behind a |
|
loving family and a host of dear friends to cherish his memory; and |
|
WHEREAS, The son of Reva Roselius and Judge Jay Roselius, |
|
Jason Roselius was born in Amarillo on May 11, 1969, and he grew up |
|
with the companionship of a sister, Liz; after attending Panhandle |
|
High School, he graduated magna cum laude from West Texas State |
|
University and received his law degree from the University of |
|
Oklahoma College of Law; as an attorney, he earned a reputation as a |
|
tenacious advocate for his clients and won numerous record-breaking |
|
class action lawsuits on their behalf; to this day, he holds the |
|
distinction of being the youngest attorney to win a class action |
|
lawsuit in the state of Oklahoma; and |
|
WHEREAS, An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Roselius also had a great |
|
passion and respect for history, which he demonstrated by |
|
generously donating a shotgun that belonged to President Theodore |
|
Roosevelt to the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum in Canyon; he |
|
had a remarkable ability to bring out the best in everyone around |
|
him and was admired for his quiet strength, his compassion, his |
|
character, and his commitment to defending those who needed him |
|
most; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Roselius was blessed to share his life with his |
|
true love and high school sweetheart, Amy Dauer Biggs, whom he |
|
married on November 25, 2017; the couple were deeply devoted to |
|
their family of four children, Presley, Jett, Halee, and Tristan; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Jason Roselius will be remembered not only for his |
|
success as an attorney but also for his selfless service to others, |
|
and he will forever hold a treasured place in the hearts of those he |
|
left behind; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Jason Ernest |
|
Roselius and extend sincere condolences to his family and many |
|
friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jason |
|
Ernest Roselius. |
