R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Donald Lannom, a 42-year member of the Fort Stockton
  Volunteer Fire Department, was named the department's Fireman of
  the Year in December 2018; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Lannom's family has a long tradition in the Fort
  Stockton fire service that dates back to the 1930s; his father,
  Bernie Lannom, and two uncles were early members of the department
  after its reorganization, and they were later joined by Mr. Lannom,
  his brother, Tony, and his nephew, Cary; and
         WHEREAS, Currently a chaplain and firefighter with the
  department, Mr. Lannom previously served as chief and assistant
  chief; he is a three-time recipient of the Fireman of the Year
  award; and
         WHEREAS, Over the course of more than four decades, Donald
  Lannom has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to protecting the
  lives and property of the citizens of Fort Stockton and Pecos
  County, and he is indeed deserving of this most recent honor; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Donald Lannom on being named
  Fireman of the Year for the Fort Stockton Volunteer Fire Department
  and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Lannom as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
