R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Viviana Franco has been named salutatorian of the |
|
|
Class of 2019 at Porter Early College High School in Brownsville, |
|
|
and she indeed merits special recognition for receiving this |
|
|
significant honor; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; in securing her place as one of the two |
|
|
top ranking students in her class, Ms. Franco demonstrated a |
|
|
thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her |
|
|
attainment of this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement |
|
|
of a notable high school career; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In addition to the pride inherent in being |
|
|
recognized for her hard work, Ms. Franco has gained the opportunity |
|
|
to address her fellow seniors at commencement and to reflect on |
|
|
their shared history as well as their hopes and ambitions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, During her years at Porter Early College High |
|
|
School, Viviana Franco has earned the respect and admiration of |
|
|
both her teachers and classmates, and her exceptional scholastic |
|
|
ability and commitment to excellence have opened the way to a bright |
|
|
and promising future for this outstanding young Texan; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Viviana Franco on graduating as |
|
|
salutatorian of the Porter Early College High School Class of 2019 |
|
|
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she |
|
|
begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Franco as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
