R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Mia E. Moore has been named salutatorian of the |
|
Class of 2019 at Incarnate Word Academy in Corpus Christi, and she |
|
indeed merits special recognition for receiving this significant |
|
honor; and |
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only |
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
highest academic standards; in securing her place as one of the two |
|
top ranking students in her class, Ms. Moore demonstrated a |
|
thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her |
|
attainment of this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement |
|
of a notable high school career; and |
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Sunshine Moore and Dr. Jacob Moore, |
|
Ms. Moore plans to attend The University of Texas at Austin, where |
|
she will study mechanical engineering; and |
|
WHEREAS, During her years at Incarnate Word Academy, Mia |
|
E. Moore has earned the respect and admiration of both her teachers |
|
and classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability and |
|
commitment to excellence have opened the way to a bright and |
|
promising future for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, |
|
be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Mia E. Moore on graduating as |
|
salutatorian of the Incarnate Word Academy Class of 2019 and extend |
|
to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she begins the |
|
next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Moore as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
