R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The Amarillo Caprock High School Marine Corps Junior
  Reserve Officers' Training Corps drill team earned great
  distinction with its overall second-place performance at the 2019
  U.S. Marine Corps JROTC National Drill Championships, held April 13
  in Washington, D.C.; and
         WHEREAS, The Caprock team placed in four of the six national
  categories in which it competed, winning both the Color Guard and
  Inspection titles, and finishing third in Unarmed Exhibition and
  Armed Exhibition; further, Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Dylan Conley
  was named Third Best Commander; and
         WHEREAS, Building momentum earlier in the season, the Caprock
  contingent won the Red River State Championship for the second
  consecutive year and came in third at the U.S. Marine Corps Junior
  ROTC Region 5 Drill Championship; in all, Caprock collected 89 team
  trophies and multiple individual accolades over the course of its
  impressive 2019 campaign; and
         WHEREAS, Through hard work and an unwavering resolve to give
  their very best, the members of the Amarillo Caprock team have
  earned the admiration of their fellow students and their many
  community supporters, and they may indeed reflect with pride on
  their memorable accomplishments; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate the Amarillo Caprock High School
  Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps drill team on
  finishing second at the 2019 U.S. Marine Corps JROTC National Drill
  Championships and extend to all those associated with the group
  sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
