R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  passing of longtime educator Stella Ruth Whisenhant Tipton of
  Humble on May 16, 2019, at the age of 92; and
         WHEREAS, Born on May 12, 1927, to Sadie and Paul Whisenhant,
  the former Ruth Whisenhant grew up with the companionship of a
  sister, Pauline; she went on to enjoy a 28-year career as a teacher
  with the Humble Independent School District, where she touched the
  lives of countless students; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Tipton was preceded in death by her husband,
  Arthur I. Tipton, with whom she shared a rewarding marriage that
  spanned 65 years; she was the devoted mother of three children, Ted,
  Terri, and Tammy, and was further blessed with 8 grandchildren and
  17 great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Ruth Tipton made a meaningful difference in the
  lives of her loved ones and her many students, and she will long be
  remembered with warmth and affection by all who had the good fortune
  to know her; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Stella Ruth
  Whisenhant Tipton and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her
  family: to her children, Ted Tipton and his wife, Nancy, Terri
  Holder and her husband, Marc, and Tammy McKnight and her husband,
  Jeff; to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and to her
  other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Ruth
  Tipton.
