R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Tyal Peterson of Petersburg High School achieved |
|
|
great distinction by participating in the 2019 University |
|
|
Interscholastic League Track & Field State Meet; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the other top high school competitors in |
|
|
Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 10 and 11, |
|
|
Mr. Peterson competed in the 1A discus and finished in fifth place; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By earning the right to compete as one of the elite |
|
|
track and field athletes in the Lone Star State, Tyal Peterson has |
|
|
ably represented his school, and he may indeed reflect with pride on |
|
|
his notable accomplishments; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Tyal Peterson on participating in |
|
|
the 1A discus at the 2019 UIL Track & Field State Meet and extend to |
|
|
him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Peterson as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
