R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Parker Carson of Turkey Valley High School achieved |
|
|
great distinction by participating in the 2019 University |
|
|
Interscholastic League Track & Field State Meet; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the other top high school competitors in |
|
|
Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 10 and 11, Mr. Carson |
|
|
competed in the 1A 800-meter run and finished in eighth place; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By earning the right to compete as one of the elite |
|
|
track and field athletes in the Lone Star State, Parker Carson has |
|
|
ably represented his school, and he may indeed reflect with pride on |
|
|
his notable accomplishments; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Parker Carson on participating in |
|
|
the 1A 800-meter run at the 2019 UIL Track & Field State Meet and |
|
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Carson as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
