R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Johanna Arguello-Garcia has been named salutatorian |
|
|
of the Class of 2019 at Pace Early College High School in |
|
|
Brownsville, and she indeed merits special recognition for |
|
|
receiving this significant honor; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; in securing her place as one of the two |
|
|
top ranking students in her class, Ms. Arguello-Garcia demonstrated |
|
|
a thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her |
|
|
attainment of this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement |
|
|
of a notable high school career; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In addition to the pride inherent in being |
|
|
recognized for her hard work, Ms. Arguello-Garcia has gained the |
|
|
opportunity to address her fellow seniors at commencement and to |
|
|
reflect on their shared history as well as their hopes and |
|
|
ambitions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, During her years at Pace Early College High School, |
|
|
Johanna Arguello-Garcia has earned the respect and admiration of |
|
|
both her teachers and classmates, and her exceptional scholastic |
|
|
ability and commitment to excellence have opened the way to a bright |
|
|
and promising future for this outstanding young Texan; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Johanna Arguello-Garcia on |
|
|
graduating as salutatorian of the Pace Early College High School |
|
|
Class of 2019 and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success as she begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be |
|
|
it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Arguello-Garcia as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
