R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the State of |
|
Texas, 86th Legislature, Regular Session, 2019, That House Rule 13, |
|
Section 9(a), be suspended in part as provided by House Rule 13, |
|
Section 9(f), to enable the conference committee appointed to |
|
resolve the differences on Senate Bill 891 (the operation and |
|
administration of and practice in and grants provided by courts in |
|
the judicial branch of state government; increasing and imposing |
|
fees; creating a criminal offense) to consider and take action on |
|
the following matter: |
|
House Rule 13, Section 9(a)(4) is suspended to permit the |
|
committee to add text on a matter not included in either the house |
|
or senate version of the bill by adding the following new SECTION to |
|
ARTICLE 13 of the bill: |
|
SECTION 13.01. Section 231.103(a), Family Code, is amended |
|
to read as follows: |
|
(a) The Title IV-D agency may: |
|
(1) charge a reasonable application fee; |
|
(2) charge a $35 [$25] annual service fee; and |
|
(3) to the extent permitted by federal law, recover |
|
costs for the services provided in a Title IV-D case. |
|
Explanation: The addition is necessary to amend the Family |
|
Code to provide for an increase of the annual service fee charged by |
|
the Title IV-D agency. |
