R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Chelsea Rangel has ably served her fellow Texans as
  an aide in the office of State Representative Rafael Anchia through
  the Mexican American Legislative Leadership Fellowship during the
  86th Legislature; and
         WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Rangel has provided
  vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;
  in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public
  service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the
  issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
         WHEREAS, A native of Freer, Ms. Rangel received a bachelor's
  degree in anthropology and Mexican American studies from The
  University of Texas at Austin in 2013, and she went on to teach
  middle school and high school mathematics in Miami-Dade County
  Public Schools for two years; she then returned to Texas to teach in
  San Antonio, and after another two years in education, she enrolled
  at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at UT, where she
  earned a master's degree in public affairs earlier this year; and
         WHEREAS, This noteworthy Texan has performed her duties as a
  legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed
  deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Chelsea Rangel for her service as a
  legislative aide in the office of State Representative Rafael
  Anchia and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success
  in all her endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Rangel as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
