A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
 
  relating to the location of certain temporary branch early voting
  polling places.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 85.062, Election Code, is amended by
  adding Subsection (c-1) to read as follows:
         (c-1)  In a county with a population of 100,000 or more, the
  location of a movable temporary branch polling place established
  under this section may be changed only:
               (1)  once during the early voting period; and
               (2)  after at least half of the early voting period has
  concluded.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
  a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
  provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution.  If this
  Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
  Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
