A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to state programs not funded by appropriations. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. The legislature finds that any mandatory |
|
|
governmental programs for which no appropriation is made should be |
|
|
eliminated as unnecessary. |
|
|
SECTION 2. Section 403.0147, Government Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: |
|
|
(d) Notwithstanding any other law, a state agency is not |
|
|
required to implement a program identified in the two most recent |
|
|
reports made under this section and for which no appropriation is |
|
|
made for the current state fiscal year. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
