A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to parole officer participation in a hearing concerning a |
|
|
person's alleged violation of a condition of parole or mandatory |
|
|
supervision. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 508.281, Government Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (g) to read as follows: |
|
|
(g) The parole officer supervising a releasee for whom a |
|
|
hearing is held under this section may appear and testify at the |
|
|
hearing through the use of video conference technology. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
