A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to fees collected by the Automobile Burglary and Theft |
|
|
Prevention Authority. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 10, Article 4413(37), Revised Statutes, |
|
|
is amended by adding Subsection (f) to read as follows: |
|
|
(f) An amount equal to at least one-third of the fees |
|
|
collected under Subsection (b) in each biennium shall be |
|
|
appropriated to the authority for the purposes of this article. |
|
|
SECTION 2. Section 10(f), Article 4413(37), Revised |
|
|
Statutes, as added by this Act, applies only to a fee collected on |
|
|
or after the effective date of this Act. A fee collected before the |
|
|
effective date of this Act is governed by the law in effect on the |
|
|
date the fee was collected, and the former law is continued in |
|
|
effect for that purpose. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
