SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 69
         WHEREAS, Students from across the Lone Star State are
  gathering in Austin on January 28 to take part in the 2019 Texas
  Capitol Schoolhouse; and
 
         WHEREAS, This unique program has given Texas students and
  teachers the opportunity to demonstrate to legislators and other
  state leaders how technology is being used in their schools and
  how it can enhance the learning process; and
 
         WHEREAS, During the day, teachers and students are setting
  up classrooms in the State Capitol, where they will showcase
  new and innovative technologies they are employing on their
  campuses; participants will demonstrate their skills in
  such areas as audio and video production, robotics, and
  engineering; and
 
         WHEREAS, A number of talented students are taking part in
  this year's event, representing the Coleman, Coppell, Deer Park,
  Denton, Galveston, New Braunfels, Pasadena, Temple, and Ysleta
  Independent School Districts as well as the Texas School for the
  Deaf; and
 
         WHEREAS, Evolving technology continues to improve our
  lives and the way we learn, and these outstanding young Texans
  are embracing the 21st-century tools that will help them prepare
  for the exciting opportunities that lie ahead; now, therefore,
  be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th
  Legislature, hereby recognize the 2019 Texas Capitol Schoolhouse
  and commend its participants for their contributions to this
  exciting event; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in
  honor of the 2019 Texas Capitol Schoolhouse.
