SENATE RESOLUTION
|
|
BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
|
Legislature, Regular Session, 2019, That Senate Rule 12.03 be |
|
suspended in part as provided by Senate Rule 12.08 to enable the |
|
conference committee appointed to resolve the differences on |
|
Senate Bill 891 (the operation and administration of and practice |
|
in and grants provided by courts in the judicial branch of state |
|
government; increasing and imposing fees; creating a criminal |
|
offense) to consider and take action on the following matter: |
|
Senate Rule 12.03(4) is suspended to permit the committee |
|
to add text on a matter not included in either the house or senate |
|
version of the bill by adding the following new SECTION to |
|
ARTICLE 13 of the bill: |
|
SECTION 13.01. Section 231.103(a), Family Code, is |
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
(a) The Title IV-D agency may: |
|
(1) charge a reasonable application fee; |
|
(2) charge a $35 [$25] annual service fee; and |
|
(3) to the extent permitted by federal law, recover |
|
costs for the services provided in a Title IV-D case. |
|
Explanation: The addition is necessary to amend the Family |
|
Code to provide for an increase of the annual service fee charged |
|
by the Title IV-D agency. |
