HB64 by Canales (Relating to the expunction of arrest records and files relating to certain criminal offenses.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedures to allow the expunction of records for persons placed on deferred adjudication community supervision for certain misdemeanor offenses. It is assumed the costs of implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
 
The bill would take effect September 1, 2019.

According to the Texas Association of Counties, no significant fiscal implication to counties is anticipated.
