No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Water Code to require the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to provide a report of a dam that has a high or significant hazard classification to the emergency management director for the political subdivision in which the dam is located within certain time frames as established in the bill. Based on the analysis of TCEQ, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
