No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Texas Department of Criminal Justice to provide notice to a court regarding a defendant confined in a state jail felony facility. It is assumed that the provisions of the bill could be absorbed using existing resources. The bill would go into effect September 1, 2019.
