The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to authorize a municipal animal control authority to manage dangerous dogs and aggressive dogs in the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the municipality upon petition of certain persons.

According to the City of Houston, the bill would have no significant fiscal impact to the city.
