IN RE:
HB305 by Paul (Relating to the requirement that a state agency or political subdivision with authority to impose a tax post certain information on an Internet website.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would add a subchapter to Chapter 2051 of the Government Code requiring a state agency or a political subdivision with the authority to impose a tax to post on its publically accessible Internet website certain information relating to the agency's or subdivision's contact information; identification of each elected officer and each candidate for an elected office; date and location of the next election for the officers; and notice and records of open meetings. It is assumed that the provisions of the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.
