No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Transportation Code to authorize the imposition of an optional county fee in certain counties.
According to the Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV), no fiscal impact to the State is anticipated as programming is currently in place to charge a new optional mobility fee for a county in which the fee becomes effective.
Local Government Impact
According to TxDMV, as no counties meet the criteria as specified there would be no local impact.
