IN RE:
HB365 by Cain (Relating to holding elections on uniform election dates.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Based on analysis by the Secretary of State, it is assumed that the provisions of the bill relating to uniform election dates could be absorbed using existing resources.
Local Government Impact
The Texas Association of Counties does not anticipate a significant fiscal impact on counties. However, Election Administrators from selected counties indicate provisions of the bill would require school districts to hold elections in multiple counties. As a result, a significant fiscal impact on the election costs of school districts is anticipated.
