IN RE:
HB376 by King, Ken (Relating to a deer breeding facility affected by chronic wasting disease.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Parks and Wildlife Code relating to a deer breeding facility affected by chronic wasting disease (CWD). The bill would require the Parks and Wildlife Department to determine all breeder deer at a facility for which the department has obtained a positive CWD test result for any deer at the facility are clear of CWD prior to authorizing the resumption of permitted activities at the facility.
Based on analysis of the current CWD testing regimen, the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by using existing resources.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
