No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to include additional exceptions from the requirement for a person under the direction or control of a local entity or campus police department to assist or cooperate with federal immigration officers.

According to the Texas A&M System, the University of Texas System, the Texas State University System, the Texas Tech University System, the University of North Texas System, the University of Houston System, and Tyler Junior College no fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Local Government Impact

According to the Texas Municipal League, the bill would have no significant fiscal impact to cities.

According to the Texas Association of Counties, this bill is not anticipated to have a significant fiscal impact to counties.
